Puppy Contract

We accept cash, money orders, and cashier checks personal check (puppy will not be able to leave until check has cleared).  We do not accept credit cards.
For puppies that are going to be flying to their new owners, they have to be paid in full by 6 weeks old to leave out at 8 weeks old.
No puppy is considered “SOLD” until a deposit has been received.  At that time the pictures will be sent to the buyer personally.  A $300 deposit is required to hold a puppy. I allow 5 business days for deposits to arrive and in that time frame a puppy’s status is listed as “HOLD”.  If the deposit does not arrive within that 5 business day time frame then the puppy goes back to being available to other buyers. A puppy needs to be paid in full by 8 weeks, to go to their home as soon as possable. We cannot ship a puppy until full payment has been confirmed. 
Contract Detail:
Buyer agrees that pups sold on limited AKC registration must be spayed or neutered
by the age of 18 months, and will not be used for showing or breeding. For full registration, it is recommended that any dog used for breeding should have their hips, hearts, and cystinuria tested prior to breeding. The buyer agrees that he/she is buying the Newfoundland for a pet and is not acting as an agent or broker for any other party. Buyer is responsible for any expenses incurred with the purchase of the Newfoundland. This includes but is not limited to shipping costs, food, veterinarian fees, and any supplies. Buyer agrees to provide the purchased puppy with exercise, food, water, current vaccinations, and shelter.
Ruthie's Newfies guarantees the Newfoundland to be healthy and up to date on
shots and worming at the time of sale. All puppies have been checked by a certified veterinarian and have been deemed to be healthy at the time of sale. Ruthie's Newfies offers an unconditional 72 hour guarantee on all of our puppies. If within 72 hours from shipment of puppy, buyer’s veterinarian finds any serious illness or congenital defect Ruthie's Newfies will accept the puppy back at buyer’s expense. Within the 72 hour guarantee if when checked by their own certified veterinarian clinic the puppy is found to have serious illness or congenital defect an option of a full refund of purchase price, or a pup of equal value will be given as replacement, not including shipping. Serious illness does not include canine nictitans gland prolapsed (cherry eye) worms, (i.e. heartworms, tapeworms, hookworms, whipworms, or roundworms) parasites, (i.e. giardia or coccidia) fleas, or anything easily treated. Ruthie's Newfies  offers a replacement puppy only for any heredity illness or defect after the 72 hour period. Puppies are guaranteed against crippling due to hip dysplasia (except due to trauma) and any crippling or congenital heredity defect, not due to injury, infection, or trauma, until 12 month of age. Buyer is to notify breeder before euthanizing any Newfoundland purchased from Ruthie's Newfies due to a congenital or heredity defect. At that time Ruthie's Newfies will have the option to have the Newfoundland examined by another licensed veterinarian, at breeder’s expense. Euthanizing the pup without breeders knowledge voids the health guarantee. Health guarantee is not transferable, puppy must be owned by the original buyer listed in this contract. A replacement pup will be given as soon as possible, if Ruthie's Newfies does not have any puppies at the time, buyer will agree to wait until the next available litter for their replacement puppy. Once a replacement pup is selected, buyer will be responsible for transportation of the replacement pup. Any replacement puppy will not carry the 12 month health guarantee.
